From Wayne's World to the Gulf Coast
It started as Wayne's World in Pittston, PA — a music store built on guitars, lessons, and community. The store moved to Dallas, PA, then eventually all the way south to Key West, FL, where it became Island Guitar at 1109 Key Plaza.
In Key West, Island Guitar became a community institution — sponsoring UkeOut jam nights at the Green Parrot, organizing Nicky's Celebration benefit concerts, and giving hundreds of locals and tourists their first lesson on guitar or ukulele.
Wayne walked away from the register and never looked back. No retail, no inventory — just music. He's on stage and in the lesson studio more than ever in Venice Beach, FL, playing and teaching everyone from road-hardened touring veterans to the absolute beginner picking up a guitar for the very first time.
